The event was organized by the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. It was attended by the faculty and students of UWED and other universities, representatives of national media, international organizations and environmental activists.

The main goal of the roundtable was to draw young people's attention to environmental problems, existing and future risks in this area, as well as to measures to counteract the environmental crisis.

It was noted that climate change is an urgent global problem that has a significant impact on the environment and human life. Its consequences affect human health, undermine social and economic systems, make the living environment less suitable, which leads to an increase in the number of climate refugees.

Within the framework of the roundtable, reports of international climate experts, speeches of environmental journalists and eco-activists were heard, who focused on the issues that most concern the population in the field of environmental protection, and the results of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP-28) were also discussed.

The participants of the event expressed their vision of solutions to the problems raised at the roundtable and how to combat or adapt to climate change specifically in Uzbekistan and the region.

An important aspect was the direct contact between climate specialists and university students, who were able to get answers to all their questions on this topical topic.
