Today, the Public Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media, together with the Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Uzbekistan, held a round table on the topic “Freedom of the media in the era of digitalization.”

As part of the round table, its participants analyzed the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of journalism and the risks that arise in this regard.
One of the key takeaways is the importance of ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of AI in journalism, including fact-checking. Effective use of artificial intelligence requires a balance between automation and the role of humans to preserve trustworthy, accurate and independent journalism.
