Workshop for Journalists on Court Reporting and Judicial Transparency Launches in Bukhara
A two-day training programme for media representatives from Bukhara, Navoi, and Samarkand regions kicked off yesterday in Bukhara. The event is part of the "Strengthening the Judicial System" project, implemented by the Supreme Court, USAID, and the NGO "East-West Management Institute" in partnership with the Mass Media Foundation and AIMC.
The primary objective is to enhance journalists' and bloggers' knowledge and skills in covering court activities, as well as to exchange ideas on addressing issues that arise when preparing content on this subject.
The training will cover topics such as the concept of information policy in the judicial system to ensure openness and transparency of court activities, legal foundations for interaction between judicial bodies and the media and public, cybersecurity and personal data protection, digital hygiene, and the problem of hostile language on social media.
Special attention will be given to practical exercises in the form of simulation games based on examples of media coverage of court hearings in high-profile cases.
